Buffalo Horn Thumb Picks

Description

We’ve been getting a lot of requests for Buffalo Horn thumb picks for a while now, and I decided to design these for those partial to a warmer “tortoise shell “voicing. Available in 4 sizes (XL=15mm/Large=12mm/Med=9mm/Small=7mm ID).

BEFORE Using your Real Buffalo Horn Thumb picks ~

Please keep in mind that with natural Buffalo Horn is closer to your fingernails. Before using them, we suggest that you temper them, by placing it into a basket type steamer for 2-3 minutes (once steaming begins). Remove it from the steamer (remember these will be hot so use caution), open it up and place it on your thumb and allow it to dry on your thumb, and it will size to your thumb, for a more comfortable fit.

IMPORTANT: Understanding that this material is more brittle than the plastic thumb picks that many are used to. So we do caution you to temper these prior to use. If not tempered these can snap & break.
